Keith Pigott[border ] Keith is currently the Sous Chef at Hook and Ladder Limerick. Cooking is Keith’s second career having spent fifteen years working in event management but his love of food led him to throw himself into the food world and has done so with some success. He trained at IT Tralee and while there won the Bord Bia Pork Competition and was a runner up in the Knorr student chef of the year.
He has worked in some of the country’s most prominent restaurants including, The Park in Kenmare, Gregans Castle in Ballyvaughan and Global Village in Dingle. He has now returned to Limerick and is looking forward to sharing his experience and love of food with everyone at Hook and Ladder.
Keith has extensive experience as a Pastry chef and loves the delight that great desserts and cakes bring to any occasion. He is also passionate about the provenance of food and a great believer and promoter of Irish produce. Keith brings a relaxed hands on approach to his classes and shows participants how to transform great fresh ingredients into simple beautiful dishes.
